Data Preservation & Service Discontinuation Policy

1. Service Commitment
   GH Obits is committed to maintaining memorial pages for as long as our service remains operational. Your one-time contribution covers ongoing hosting and maintenance costs.
2. Discontinuation Notice
   In the unlikely event that GH Obits must discontinue service:

• All users will receive email notification at least 30 days prior to shutdown
• Public announcements will be made on our website and social media channels

3. Data Export Guarantee
   Before service termination:

• Full memorial content (photos, videos, text) will be made available for download in standard formats (JPG, MP4, PDF)
• Each family will receive:
  • A complete archive of all media
  • Instructions for preserving the content elsewhere
  • Suggested alternative memorial platforms

4. Refund Policy
   As memorials remain accessible until service ends, no refunds will be issued for the one-time contribution, which covers actual hosting costs incurred.
5. Force Majeure
   This policy does not cover service interruptions caused by:

• Natural disasters
• War or civil unrest
• Extraordinary legal requirements
  Though we will make every reasonable effort to notify users in such cases.
